The hardest aspect of this riff will be the fast alternate picking. You will also need to be very comfortable with palm muting. Make sure the fast alternate picking is provided by the wrist NOT the forearm. At slow speeds you will notice it is easy to use the wrist and keep the forearm completely still. However, as you increase the tempo you can not help but start to move your forearm. This is okay as long as the motion is still coming from the wrist. If your elbow or shoulder aches the chances are you are doing it wrong. If this is the case then stop, relax and start again slowly with just the wrist movement.
